Linda LaMantia dedicates much of her time to STARS, a scholarship foundation that makes higher education assessable to students from South Texas and the El Paso area. She is currently the Chairman of the Texas Cultural Trust and serves on the Board of the Texas Women for the Arts. Linda served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Former Students, Texas A&M University, from 2006 through 2010. She received the Aggie Spirit Award from the Association of Former Students in 2011. The TAMU Scholarships & Financial Aid office honored her in 2011 when they named one of their FUSE Financial Aid communities after her. In 2012, Linda served on the selection committee to name the 2012 Outstanding International Alumnus. Linda has served on the Region One Service Education Center Board for South Texas for 12 years as well as many civic boards in Laredo, Texas. Linda has served on the TAMU PAC Board since 2015.
